Exciting progress on campus! New rooftop HVAC units are being installed to improve comfort and air quality. Phase 1 of roof demolition and installation is underway, and classroom upgrades are already complete with new flooring and fresh interior paint.
Big improvements taking shape for students and staff! 🎉✨
Canutillo ISD, community members, and students gathered at Canutillo Elementary to celebrate the start of renovations funded by the 2024 Canutillo Bond. This marks the 5th groundbreaking of six renovation projects scheduled to begin this year, as part of the $387 million CISD bond.
The $9.5 million project will focus on new entry vestibules designed to control campus access, advanced security cameras, modernized communication systems, a new fire alarm and badge-controlled door access. The project will also bring new HVAC units, roofing and flooring along with fresh exterior paint.
The project was designed by GA Architecture and is being built by Banes General Contractors.
Additional groundbreaking events will continue throughout the fall as CISD and Procedeo deliver on the community’s vision to transform learning environments across the district.
PROCEDEO is the Owner’s Representative for the 2024 Canutillo bond program that was approved by Canutillo voters on May 4, 2024.
